You can frolic in a field of sunflowers this month at Ocean View Estates.

The Saanichton Sunflower Festival is taking place for its fourth year, starting Aug. 13, 2023.

Walk through acres of sunflowers and take advantage of the multiple photo-ops scattered throughout the field. You can even have a professional photography session added to your ticket. 

“Our sunflower festival started on a whim during Covid as we wanted to provide a safe outdoor activity for our community and once we saw the outpour of support and the joy it brought to everyone we knew there wasn't any turning back,” said Jag Dhariwal from Ocean View Estates. 

There are 23 different varieties of sunflowers, and a dedicated U-Pick field. 

This year will also see the addition of Indian Street Food and Beer Garden on weekends.

Well-behaved pets are also welcome to join, however they must be on leash.

The schedule for activities like sunflower yoga has yet to be released, so keep an eye on their website for updates.

Hours for the festival will be weekdays from 11am-8pm, and weekends 9:30am-8pm. The sunflower festival will be open until early to mid-September, depending on the blooms.
