Chicken lollipops to start, maple brulee sable fish as the main and warm lava cake for dessert.
Or, smoked potato chowder, seared ahi tuna and chocolate peanut butter marquis bar.
These are just two of the dozens of three-course, fixed-price lunches and dinners on offer during Taste Around Kamloops– the city's annual winter dining festival running from tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 21) through Sunday, Feb. 8.
By the way, that maple brulee sable fish is part of the $40 prix-fixe three-course meal at Table twelvefifty.
And, the seared ahi tuna is in the $59 three-course menu at Atlas Steak+Fish.
In all, 14 Kamloops restaurants are offering Taste Around deals ranging from $25 to $70 for three courses.
Taste Around deliberately falls this time of year to inspire people to dine out during what is otherwise the winter lull between New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day.
In other words, it's a winter culinary celebration to encourage you to try someplace new or revisit a favourite place.
Go by yourself, as a couple or part of a group.

Kamloops is making Taste Around a true culinary fest with other food-related events.
On Friday, Feb. 6, stand-up comedian and former chef Ali Hassan takes to the stage at the Paramount Theatre with his 'Does This Taste Funny?' show.
Hassan is also the host of CBC Radio's Laugh Out Loud and has appeared in TV shows Workin' Moms, Run The Burbs and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
With the show starting at 8 pm, people are encouraged to make it a dinner and a show night by hitting a resto before the comedy.

Also at the Paramount Theatre throughout Taste Around's 19 days, there's 'Food on Films' screenings of movies like Julie & Julia, First Cow, Ratatouille, Goodfellas and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971).
