It may be summer, but Disney Plus has plenty of intriguing and exciting releases coming our way in August.
Arguably the most intriguing, especially for millennials, is a sequel that’s over 15 years in the making.
The Jonas Brothers are back in action for Camp Rock 3, which arrives in mid-August and will be a revival of one of the best-known Disney Channel Original Movies of all time.
Some popular series are returning in August as well – season 14 of Futurama, season 18 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and season two of FX’s Adults.
All three will have two-episode premieres to kick off a schedule of weekly releases into the fall.
Also premiering with two episodes and releasing weekly after that will be The Shards, a new series that follows privileged high school students in 1981 Los Angeles as a serial killer terrorizes the city.
A documentary on famous drummer Travis Barker arrives on Aug. 13, while a docuseries on lions from Jon Favreau will debut on Aug. 20.
