The world's most expensive handbag is now on sale – although use the word sale sparingly.
Valued at US $ 3.8 million, the Mouawad 1001 Night Diamond Purse – a heart-shaped festival of diamonds – still holds the Guinness World Record for being the most valuable handbag ever made.

According to Guardian reporter, Zoe Wood, Christie's Auctions & Private Sales told Wood that its handling the private sale of the bag. According to Wood, the bag is first being shown to potential buyers in Hong Kong, then Geneva and next month, London.
Designed by Robert Mouawad, and hand-crafted from 18-karat gold, the purse boasts 4,517 diamonds – mostly colourless, with a touch of yellow and pink.
The total weight of the bag is 381.92 carat -without any items inside.
This isn't Mouawad's first World Guiness conquest.
He also holds the world record for the priciest bra, valued at $11 million.
Modeled by Heidi Klum, the Very Sexy Fantasy Bra was featured in the 2003 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Mouawad has also produced a $55-million diamond necklace.
