  • Weekend need to KNow!: Nov. 22 to 24, 2019

    From charity runs and sports games, to craft markets and the biggest community events in the city, it is hard to be bored while being in Kelowna.

    If you’re looking for a way to make the most of your weekend, we are here to tell you about the notable events and activities coming to town. 

    Here is your Weekend Need to KNow!

    Out in the Valley Wine Festival

    Presented by the Kelowna Pride Society, Out in the Valley begins this Thursday, Nov. 21 and runs until Sunday, Nov. 24.

    The inclusive festival is actually a series of events including the reception at Okanagan Spirits, hop-on-hop-off wine tours, food tours, a drag brunch and the return of the beloved Sugarplum Ball (this Saturday.)

    Winter Wineland at The View

    How can you make wine tasting and shopping anymore exciting? Add some holiday cheer into the mix!

    This Saturday and Sunday The View Winery will be doing just that at their annual Winter Wineland event from 1 pm to 5 pm each day.

    In addition to wine tasting, expects snacks, a mini vendors village, steaming hot cider and more.

    Craft Culture conquers Sandhill Winery

    Keeping with the theme of wine and holiday shopping, Craft Culture is hosting its first of two winery markets this weekend.

    Sandhill Winery Urban Tasting Room in downtown Kelowna, attendees can expect live music courtesy of Joshua Smith, a specially curated list of nearly 30 artisan vendors, delicious grub from the Chow for Now food truck and of course, wine tastings!

    You can pay a visit to the event between 10 am and 5 pm on Saturday and from 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday.

    Santa Paws fundraiser

    The third annual Santa Paws fundraiser will take place at 1590 Pioneer Rd. on Sunday from 10 am until 5 pm.

    Bring your beloved pets to the rustic village to have your holiday card photo snapped for a donation to the BCSPCA. 

    In addition to being in front of the lens of a professional photographer, Yuppie Puppy, a local groomer, will be on hand to provide nail trims and there will also be refreshments, raffle tickets and prizes!

    Very Merry Vegan Christmas Market

    The Earth to Table Vegan Market is hosting its final event this Sunday from 10 am until 3 pm at the Laurel Packinghouse.

    Expect a wide selection of vegan-friendly products that will be offered from a variety of vendors at the market. You’ll find things like food, cosmetics, clothing, alcohol, personal care products and plenty more.
