VIDEO: Rockets’ forward suspended after dangerous hit on Blazers’ Kyrell Sopotyk

The Western Hockey League wasn't feeling generous when handing out a suspension to a Kelowna Rocket on Wednesday.

Pavel Novak has been suspended eight games for a dangerous hit on a Kamloops Blazer on Monday. Novak's suspension comes after a checking-from-behind major toward Kyrell Sopotyk.

Sopotyk had to leave the game after the hit. He will likely be out of the lineup until sometime in December with a separated shoulder.

Novak, on the other hand, will be eligible for a return to the ice on Dec. 10, when the Rockets face Brandon.
