VIDEO: How to conduct foreign affairs in the age of Trump

"We will not surrender."

Those words from Parliamentary Secretary Andrew Leslie on negotiating trade during the Trump presidency.

Leslie works closely with Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland on NAFTA and lately, the simmering trade war with the United States. The Ottawa Member of Parliament admits these have been trying times.

"We just stick to the facts," he told us during an interview Wednesday. Leslie met with Kelowna business leaders this week during a western Canadian tour and set some time aside for an interview with KelownaNow.
