Vehicle recovery near Cherry Creek slows traffic on Hwy 1

Kamloops residents looking to use Hwy 1 should be aware of an incident near Cherry Creek.

According to Drive BC, a vehicle recovery took place at Cherry Creek Station Road, 15 kilometres west of Kamloops.

The highway was brought down to single-lane alternating-traffic for the time being. As of now, traffic is moving slowly so residents should avoid the area if possible.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing a head-on collision. There is no word yet on if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
