UPDATE: Hwy 1 reopens east of Golden after earlier vehicle incident

(UPDATE: 9:55 am) – Hwy 1 has reopened west of Field after an earlier vehicle incident.

Residents should expect some delays due to congestion.

Drive safely!

(Original Story: 8:45 am) – Residents travelling east should be aware of a closure on Hwy 1.

According to Drive BC, the road is closed four kilometres west of Field due to a vehicle incident. The crash occurred between the West Boundary of Yoho National Park and Emerald Lake Road.

At this time, there are no detours available. The next update is scheduled for 10 am.
