Gross has been in the banking industry for over 35 years and was drawn to Island Savings due to its profound involvement in communities with the added bonus of being located in Victoria, a city he and his wife longed to return to.
What sets Island Savings apart is its unwavering commitment to local decision-making processes, ensuring that the community's unique needs are heard and met.
Serving nearly 100,000 residents of Vancouver Island and Salisbury Island, their mission centers around investing in people and communities.
“When we invest in the community, for us it goes way beyond just cutting that cheque”, says Gross.
The partnership between Victoria Hospitals Foundation and Island Savings, runs deep within the culture of both organizations.
Island Savings has been supporting the Victoria Hospitals Foundation for over three decades, joining forces on significant initiatives such as expanding units at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
“It's important to have a partnership where trust is at the centre," says Gross.
