  • The best places to get spooky in Kelowna this Halloween

    Tomorrow is the day boils and ghouls, Halloween is officially here!

    Even though you likely partied it up this past weekend, you can’t skip out on the fang-tastic activities that await you. 

    To help you decide where to lurk tomorrow night, we have compiled a quick list of spooktacular events taking place around town that the adults can enjoy while the little ones are out Trick-or-Treating. 

    Barn-Owl-Oween

    Pop into one of Kelowna’s newest breweries to show off your costume, collect candy and enjoy a tasty pint from 3 pm until 6 pm.

    Little ones are also welcome to visit for treats!

    Nightmare on Kane Street

    Visit Flux 74 Eatery in Glenmore for live entertainment, a costume contest, bevvy specials and prizes.

    The frights begin at 7 pm and carry on until the clock strikes midnight!

    Hallo-women-ween at the NAC

    If you are looking to do the monster mash on Halloween, head to the New Arts Collective on Bernard Avenue for a night of spooky live music!

    Enjoy the talents of witchy synth-rock band Nixie, the intergalactic inspired Elle Wolf and Vernon’s own October Poppy. Tickets will be $25 at the door, music begins at 7:30 pm.


     

    Shred Kelly at Fernando’s 

    When this band rolls into town, it is something worth howling about!

    The electro-folk outfit can muster up a party out of thin air just like sorcerers. Don your most terrifying attire and be prepared to get lit like a Jack-o-lantern starting at 8 pm!

    Dunnenzies Halloween Party

    If you’ve got music-loving youngsters in the family, Dunnenzies in the Lower Mission is where you want to be tomorrow night.

    Pizza, live music from The Geektones, a costume and cosplay contest — what more could you ask for? The fun begins at 8 pm!

    Halloween Flash Day

    What better way to commemorate the spookiest time of year than with some new ink?

    If you’re feeling brave head over to the Inkroom Tattoo Studio and choose from a handful of spooky designs for some new permanent art. 

    Prices start at $100 and the needles start buzzing at 10 am!

    Kettle River Halloween Spooktacular

    If you want to hold on to the eerie season just a bit longer, you’ll want to spend the next three days at Kettle River Brewing.

    The Spooktacular will feature local bands each night including Elk the Moose and Frig Off in addition to tapping a new cask of candy-inspired brew every day at 4 pm. 


     

    Binge-watch Halloween classics 

    We understand many of you will have to be bright-eyed for work on Friday morning, so if you can’t enjoy a night on the town this Thursday, scaring yourself silly from the comfort of your living room may be the better route.
