  • The 28th annual Santa Shuffle hits Waterfront Park

On Saturday morning locals got out their best holiday-themed attire and gathered at Waterfront Park for the 2017 Santa Shuffle.

For its 28th year, the Santa Shuffle welcomed 540 registered runners, a new record for the Central Okanagan event.

Used as a means to raise funds for local Salvation Army programs, the event mixes holiday cheer into a fun 5km walk or 1km run, offering participants a fun way to give back to their community.

The 2016 event raised $12,000 and before racers set off on their festive jog, the event had already brought in $4,000 from online pledges alone for 2017.

From ugly Christmas sweaters to holiday-themed onesies, racers went all out in support of those in need in our community.
