My name is Liz Dunning and I am an Ontario native who found her true home in Kelowna. I spend my time running between work at Hiilite and studying at Okanagan College. I have always had a passion for photography, but have started actively learning more about it in the last few years. I have a love for capturing singular moments in the lives of the people I love or the places I go.
Why do you use Instagram?
I use Instagram to be inspired and to share things that I love. I am constantly amazed by the talented people that live right here in the Okanagan and it challenges me to continue to learn and grow creatively.
What will people see on your feed?
Faces and places of Kelowna. I enjoy shooting the natural beauty of my new home and the people that I have met over the last few years.
Does your page have a specific style?
Typically high contrast and high vibrance. I love photos that pop and make you feel closer to the subject, but I also try and stay open to different styles. Since I use my photography as a creative outlet, I want to keep things interesting.

Why do you follow KelownaNow?
I follow Kelowna Now for so many reasons! Beautiful shots of this corner of the world, up to date news and a chance to connect with others who have a shared passion for this great city.
How do you decide on your location for shoots?
I like to explore different places around Kelowna and to go areas I have never explored before. I also have old favourites that never let me down, Knox Mountain for example.
Biggest Instagram moment?
It's always exciting to be featured by other accounts including @kelownanow, @tourismkelowna and @hellobc, but I also love the excitement that friends and family have for being featured on my Instagram account.
