UPDATE: Man found safe and sound after being last seen at Sooke River Campground
(Update Aug. 30, 2023): Police have confirmed that a man who was reported missing after going camping at Sooke River Campground has been located safe and sound.

Sooke RCMP are asking the public for help in locating a missing man.

He is described as:
- 60-years-old
- Caucasian
- Short grey / greying hair
- Short grey beard
- Approximately 6’ tall / 183 cm
- Slim to medium build
He was last seen camping at the Sooke River Campground in Sooke on August 15, 2023.

He was expected to check-out on August 16, 2023, but has not returned to the campsite and his whereabouts are unknown.
