The Northern Fan Con rolled into Prince George this weekend with a legion of fans, celebrities and cosplayers rolling out to join the convention.

The three-day event spanned May 11 to 13 and brought out some of the coolest and most creative costumes, characters, artists and celebrities. 

Stars like Sean Astin, best known as Sam in the film adaption of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and Nichelle Nicols, playing Lt. Uhura in Star Trek, among many other known celebrities were present.

Of course, it isn't really a fan convention without a flurry of cosplayers recreating their favourite characters in seriously impressive adaptations and they did not fail to bring the surreal aspects of movies and comics to life. 

Some of Star Wars' best villains took a break from causing havoc and even put together a team costume to fundraise for Spirit of the North Health Care Centre!
