  • PHOTOS: Mother Nature lights up the Okanagan Valley

It was an absolutely crazy Tuesday night weather wise.

A blazing hot couple of days turned sour, seemingly out of nowhere, as clouds, rain, wind and lightning blew through the Okanagan Valley.

Lightning during the hot summer is never a good thing, as it can easily spark a wildfire, which it did on Tuesday.

But man oh man did it ever provide a show…

Both amateur and professional photographers around the Okanagan scrambled to get a shot of the storm and they certainly delivered.

Here are some of the best photos of Tuesday night’s lightning storm, tagged with the #KelownaNow hashtag or emailed to us directly.
