Pamela Anderson is returning to her B.C. roots to show off her latest book.

Photo Credit: Bacaro on Facebook.Anderson will be accompanied by her photographer and close friend Emma Dunlavey, and co-author of Raw, at their VIP book signing February 20 from 2-4 p.m. at Bacaro Kitchen & Drink in Kelowna.

Dena Barabash, of Details Design Inc., who is the publicist and coordinator for the upcoming event, said a percentage of the proceeds from book sales will go to The Pamela Anderson Foundation, which contributes to 30 different charity groups, including Peta and Rights 4 Girls.

Tickets must be pre-purchased.

The model and actress is originally from Ladysmith, on Vancouver Island, and went to high school in Comox.

“This is home for her. To have her recognized where it all started I think is really great,” said Barabash. “She loves coming back.”

Barabash said Dunlavey has never been to the Okanagan but is really looking forward to it.

Each person who attends will receive their own personal hard copy of the book and a glass of ‘Octobubble’, a wine by the hatch.

Then, event goers will line up to have Anderson and Dunlavey sign their book.

“It’s a really great, one on one meet-and-greet experience. She’ll personalize it, you can chat with her, you can take pictures with her. It’s a nice opportunity,” said Barabash. “They’re fun people.”

“Once you have the opportunity to meet (Anderson) one on one, she’s just great.”
