There’s been no new snowfall a day after Big White’s grand opening, but there’s still plenty to do. 

With an alpine snow base of 54 cm – and with 7 cm forecast over the next week – there’s still some white stuff to play with. 

Two lifts and three runs are open, if you’re interested in enjoying a quiet Friday. 

It’s currently -10ºC and Big White describes the snow right now as hard-packed and machine-groomed. 

Skies are clear and the wind is calm. 

Visibility is unlimited. 

“What an exciting and beautiful Opening Day yesterday, we hope you had as much fun as we did,” the Big White team explained.

“The fun doesn’t stop here as things are ramping up with Light Up Big White on Saturday. Be sure to join us in the village for the laser show, fireworks and live music from The Heels.”

They added: “Find some Friday night fun tonight at Sessions where live music will be playing from 9pm till close and why not celebrate the start of the weekend with a nice frothy pint. 

“For those looking for a more relaxing outing and may have sore early season legs, check out the Practice, Pants & Dance Party at Mountain Yoga.”
