An injured mountain biker is in hospital after being rescued by a mix of Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR), Kelowna Fire Department (KFD) and BC Ambulance Services (BCAS) personnel. 

At about 1:02 p.m. the BCAS reached out to KFD to aid in rescuing a biker with an injured leg from the Lost Lake trail, a nearly 10-km trail located at Myra Canyon Provincial Park. KFD called in COSAR for assistance.

KFD and BCAS paramedics proceeded to where the biker was from one end of the trail while COSAR personnel organized a group to approach from the other end of the trail, also requesting helicopter aid. 

 KFD and BCAS assessed the female biker, who had injured her leg, and determined that the best way to extract the her from the area was via UTV. 

Crews brought the biker to a waiting ambulance, which transported her to local hospital.
