  • Kamloops’ Patrick Waters wins gold medal at 2019 US Paralympic Swimming Nationals

    Kamloops was represented well this weekend at the 2019 US Paralympic Swimming Nationals in Dallas, Texas. 

    The appropriately-named Patrick Waters took home multiple top-three finishes as he competed in numerous races.

    Waters, a long-time River City resident, won gold in the men's 100-metre Breaststroke and silver on the men's Medley Relay. 

    Already a silver medalist at the 2019 ParaPan American Games held earlier this year, Waters used these races as a test event for upcoming trials. 

    Up next, Waters sets his sight on the Canadian Paralympic Swimming Trials in Toronto this March.
