The Kamloops Classics were in action this weekend swimming in the 2019 Prince George Invitational. 

A total of 33 swimmers made the trip from Kamloops to PG. After a strong few days, the Classics swam away as the second-fastest team.

The meet saw 195 total swimmers along with seven other clubs. Kamloops brought home a total of 86 medals, including 41 gold, 28 silver, and 17 bronze. 

Sienne Angove, who participate in the girls 12 and under, won 12 gold medals, the most for the club at the competition. 10-year-old Shale Maurice also had an outstanding meet, winning eight gold medals. 

Other notable medal winners included Gwenna Faupel who won in the 100-metre freestyle and 50-metre race, Lily Eckerman who took home gold in the 100-metre breaststroke, Parker Cameron who notched first in the 200-metre freestyle, 200-metre backstroke, and 400-metre freestyle, and many more.
