  • Kamloops Art Council’s ‘great big teeny tiny art show’ starts this weekend

Kamloops residents looking to spruce up their homes with art pieces won't need to leave the River City for at least a month!

Starting Saturday, the Kamloops Art Council is set to host its third annual "great big teeny tiny art show." This small work show is an opportunity for community members to buy local, small, one-of-a-kind, original artworks.

The opening reception for the event is set to take place at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre this Saturday at 10 am. Residents will have the chance to purchases pieces all the way up until December 22nd between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm.

Even bigger than the year before, over 370 pieces of art are expected to be available to purchase from over 50 artists. Participating artists include Patricia House, Bill Fell, Una Connors, Lance Weisser, Allan Fedorak, and more.

Art will be sold right off the wall so residents who come early will have the best selection. All sales will be split 50/50 between the artists and the Kamloops Arts Council in support of its community arts programs. Pieces will range anywhere from below $100 up to $300.
