Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?
Originally from Moose Jaw, Sask., moved to Kamloops in 2013.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My partner, Ryan! We definitely have different interests in most things, but he has shown me a lot of new activities, like golfing, that I really enjoy and we can do together!

What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
My favourite local store/studio is probably The Yoga Loft downtown. I love the vibe and feel so at home at the Loft.

    Describe yourself in one word.
    Compassionate.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Probably Thailand! I've been dying to travel there and spend time on the amazing beaches.

What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
I love to hike the beautiful trails in Kamloops! Just being outside in the hot Kamloops spring/summer is the best thing ever.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
My favorite childhood memory would be our neighborhood block growing up. The whole block was filled with kids, and my 2 best friends living directly next to me. It made for great memories, climbing tress, jumping on trampolines, playing "Man Tracker," or just watching movies together. We were very lucky to grow up on a street filled with kids!

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I currently do the trade program at the Yoga Loft on Mondays! I volunteer my time in trade for free yoga classes. It's such an amazing program and I look forward to my Monday class every week!

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
The way women treat each other, it seems like now a days most women just want to tear each other down. I've noticed a lot of women trying to take the approach to support each other, but we still need alot of improvement.

Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
I love to go for drives in and around Kamloops. My favorite drive would be Tranquille Rd. past the airport!

Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
I'd love to see changes in the Northshore of Kamloops. As someone works and lives in the area, I see the potential and I think it could use some change to make it even better!

What do you think makes Kamloops great?
I love that Kamloops has everything you would want to a bigger city, but still has a smaller town feel to it. It's perfect mix.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
    1. Travel to as many places as possible!
    2. Teach yoga in Australia or Mexico.
    3. Learn to surf.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?
    @taylorfyoga on Facebook and Instagram!

What is the name of your business/organization?
    Taylor Farrer Yoga!

Why did you get into/start this business?
Jan 2019 is when I received my certificate to teach.

What is the goal of your business?
I want everyone to experience the amazing things that yoga can teach you!

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
My biggest struggle with being a yoga teacher would be that its completely out of my comfort zone, but I have such a fire inside of me for it, that I have to just push past that struggle to show others the beauty of yoga.

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
Yes!! Of course! Shoping locally helps with your community, and your feeding a family, not putting money in a CEO's pocket.

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment would be graduating from Soul Change Yoga in Jan of this year!!!
