David Cowan, George Washington's gardener. He is a relative who played an active role in growing grapes and making wine in the Mount Vernon Area in the early 1770's.

To Drive a Zamboni
To explore the wine region of Tuscany.

If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
Mid Life Crisis

If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
Freedom 55 for my husband.

What are you passionate about?
Food, wine, and family.

What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
Marrying the man of my dreams!

What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Raising four healthy, successful children!

Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? What do you like about it?
Waterfront Wines. Great food, service, and atmosphere.

What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna? Why?
Canadian Culinary Championships. They raise money for our Canadian athletes.

We grow high quality grapes and produce exceptional hand crafted wines.

To offer our guests an inviting and enjoyable atmosphere where they can enjoy high quality hand crafted wines in the natural beauty of the Okanagan Valley!

If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
Exceptional wine that everyone could enjoy.

Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
Producing award winning wines in the Okanagan Valley.

Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
There are many inspirational people and organizations in the wine industry. (Harry McWatters, Severine Pinte, Howard Soon, Toni Stewart just to name a few…)

What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
1. We are working towards a more sustainable growing environment.
2. We donate to local charities such as Nature Trust of British Columbia and also support our community.
3. Striving to provide employment within the community.

What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?
Thank you for all your help and support!

How does your business/organization impact the community?
We are striving to provide local employment opportunities and support tourism in our valley.

If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
Food and beverage investors. We would talk about the food and wine industry that is growing within the Okanagan and how they could contribute to the success and expansion of this incredible creative and diverse industry.

If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
To ensure affordable housing for our up and coming youth.
