Not everyone is willing to light up with their Dad, but will that change come next Father’s Day?

It appears not.

A recent survey shows that only 14% of Canadians would be willing to toke one with their old man once cannabis is legal.

The survey found that age played a factor in who would light up with Dad, millennials were most likely to say yes (24%), nearly twice as likely as Gen X (14%) and four times more likely than Baby Boomers (6%).

Surprisingly, B.C. residents were some of the least likely to smoke with dad with only 14% saying "yes" compared to 25% of residents in Saskatchewan.

A similar survey commissioned by Lift & Co. in advance of Mother’s Day last month, found that a greater number of British Columbians (18%) said they would get high with their moms, but nationwide the numbers are virtually identical at 14%.

Last week, in a vote of 56 to 30 in favour, the Senate voted to pass Bill C-45 aka "The Cannabis Act" which brought Canada one step closer to an October legalization date.
