UPDATE: Coquihalla opens following jackknifed semi incident

(UPDATE: @ 4:30 pm) – DriveBC has confirmed the Coquihalla's southbound lanes near the Zopkios break check have reopened.

A jackknifed semi-trailer is to blame for the original closure.

Officials are reporting that driving conditions remain sketchy.

(Original Story: @ 1 pm) – DriveBC is reporting that Highway 5 is closed southbound due to a vehicle incident before the Zopkios break check.

The Coquihalla endured heavy overnight snowfall and webcam photos show plenty of compact snow on the roads.

A Twitter user is also reporting that ambulance and police crews have arrived on scene.

Heavy delays are expected.
