  • Get your shovel ready – snow expected in Kelowna

It’s going to be a white one.

NowMedia meteorologist Wesla English has warned Kelowna residents to keep their shovels handy.

“We have an active weather pattern ahead over the next few days as multiple waves of Pacific moisture move into our valley,” she explained.

“Clouds will thicken today, and snow will move in from the northwest by midday.”

It will continue to snow throughout the night, she added.

“Freezing levels will rise slightly tomorrow above the valley base, and we can expect either wet snow or mixed precipitation for Wednesday,” she said.

“Afternoon temperatures will remain within a few degrees of freezing through midweek.”

Today’s high is expected to be about –2ºC, while the low will be –10ºC.
