On Tuesday June 5th 2018 Gallagher's Canyon Golf Club will host the International event known as Women’s Golf Day.

Celebrated across 46 countries, Women’s Golf Day unites women in their passion for being active and enjoying a great sport. Whether you are a pro, never picked up a golf club or are simply searching for a new activity to spend more time among friends, this event is a chance for you to get out on the green and do just that!

“I believe women can gain so many benefits by learning the game of golf. We can do business on the golf course, moms can have a night out with friends and women can stay fit while enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery,” said Ruthanne Arams, Sales, Marketing and Event Manager at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Club.

With a green-fee of only 20 dollars, all proceeds for the event will be donated to the non-profit organization Mamas for Mamas. The organization supports mothers in crisis and provides ongoing support to low income moms and their children.

What to expect

It can be intimidating learning a new sport, so before you get started, GBC Academy professionals will host a demonstration to teach you some pro-tips and ease those nerves ensuring that every player will head out onto the course confident and excited to play!

The event will kick-off with a shotgun start! All participants will have a chance to play for prizes, share some laughs and have a great time outdoors. New Country 100.7 will also be onsite, making sure that participants can enjoy some good tunes all day long.

And once the game is over, guests can explore the Clubhouse checking out the local vendors and their merchandise. The Clubhouse will be featuring drink specials for the event so players can grab a bite to eat and sip on some affordable celebratory beverages!

Rated as one of the best golf courses in the country, Gallagher’s Canyon is a spectacular par 72, 18-hole championship golf course full of challenging fairways, well-protected greens and awe-inspiring vistas.

Only a few minutes from downtown Kelowna and Lake Okanagan, any players can look forward to the perfect settings for an exceptional golfing experience.

And for those of you that can’t make it on June 5th, Women’s Golf Day isn’t the only event ladies can look forward to. On Monday, July 9th Gallagher’s Canyon will host their first ladies night of the year.
