Hi! My name is Chipmunk! I’m looking for my furever home here in Canada!

I just recently arrived here from Tehran. I am currently living with a foster home with my sister.

Our story started on the streets of Tehran where we were born. At only 3-months-old, both my sister and I became very sick with Parvo and scabies. We would not have made it if it were not  for a very kind, dog lover who found us, paid for our medical bills and nursed us back to health.

Unfortunately, due to the economic situation in Iran and the strict rules against owning pets, it was difficult for us to stay there so our rescuer requested help from Loved At Last Dog Rescue and we have now been brought here to continue our search for forever homes.

Personality

I am a happy and affectionate pup! Our foster mama says I was nervous of everything at first, but I am starting to gain confidence every day. Of the two of us, I am the braver one. There is so much for me to learn including how to walk properly on a leash. But I am a smart dog and I want to please people, so I think I can learn whatever it takes to make me a good pet. I have been registered with Bark Busters for training, so my future owner can continue my classes if they choose.

There is a little dog also being fostered here and he’s become the boss despite being less than half my size! When he’s not bossing me around I enjoy playing with him.

I am also enjoying walks and slowly learning about Canada. I cried the first two nights, but now I am too worn out by the long walks and new things our foster mom is teaching us. She also figured out that if she runs the dishwasher at bed time the noise seems to soothe me.

Suitability

I enjoy being around other dogs, so being in a home where I could have a friend would be great. I may love people and other dogs, but I haven’t had a chance to meet one of those strange creatures called “cats” before, nor have i been around any children.

I do have a social nature, and I can’t wait to cuddle up under a blanket or curl up by your feet while you watch a movie.

My foster mom thinks I am a very sweet dog who would make someone very happy!

I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee is $550.
