Kamloops residents will continue to visit the Kamloops Art Gallery for free on Thursdays thanks to the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC).

The company has announced that it will continue to support the Gallery by covering the cost of admission to the gallery all day on Thursdays.

“Having BCLC support us this way has been a terrific boon for our community. This is a time when many students and families visit us and people who may be unsure about what we offer. Free Thursdays gives them a chance to explore and realize we are a place worth visiting,” said Margaret Chrumka, Acting Executive Director.

The current exhibition includes work on loan from the Vancouver Art Gallery. Out of Sight brings historical photographs by Edweard Muybridge and Harold Edgerton to Kamloops. The exhibit also includes work by artists who explore new possibilities of early camera obscura technology. Faculty from Thompson Rivers University visual arts department participate in this exhibition along with students who have work on exhibition as part of Live Stream: Optical Rendering in The Cube.
