  • UPDATE: Fallen rocks cleared near Lytton

    (UPDATE: 10:10 am) – Drive BC no longer has a warning issued for Hwy 1 near Lytton. 

    It appears the rocks near Jackass Mountain have been cleared. 

    Drive safely out there. 

    (Original Story: 8:45 am) – Residents travelling on Hwy 1 should be aware of some delays near Lytton. 

    According to Drive BC, chunks of rock have fallen on the southbound lane of the highway at Jackass Mountain. 

    Crews are en route to the area and an assessment is in progress. 

    There is no word yet on if there is any closure on the highway. 

    This is the second BC highway to sees rocks fall today with Hwy 93 having a slide near the Fairmont Hot Springs.
