Drugs, cash and weapons seized from Prince George man during arrest

A man who was pulled over in Prince George on Monday was found to be carrying drugs, cash and weapons, police have said.

The man – who is 46 and from the city – was stopped by the RCMP’s Downtown Safety Unit at about 5:30 pm yesterday.

He was in a car driving along Massey Drive.

Police recognized the passenger of the vehicle because he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

During the arrest, police found “substantial” amounts of drugs and cash, alongside several weapons.

Among the weapons were hatchets, hunting knives and ammo.

The arrested man has been released pending further investigation, police added.
