The star of Deadpool 2 and Vancouver native Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter this afternoon to express his heartbreak, shock and devastation following the death of a stunt driver on set.

The stunt driver died in a tragic accident while shooting a scene for Deadpool 2 in downtown Vancouver on Monday morning

In a release, Vancouver Police confirmed the female stunt driver died on the set during a stunt on a motorcycle.
Multiple eye witness reports claim the motorcycle crashed at high speed through a window of the Shaw Tower near Jack Poole Plaza on Canada Place Way.
Fellow actor Josh Brolin, who is playing Cable in Deadpool 2, also issued a statement, expressing his condolences to the woman's family.
Deadpool 2 is scheduled to hit theatres in June 2018.
