The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) has decided to postpone and cancel multiple upcoming events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to an announcement on Monday, the upcoming Downtown After 5 scheduled for Wednesday, April 15 at OAK + CRU in the Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort has been cancelled.

Taste of Downtown, scheduled for May 2nd, has been postponed and will be rescheduled once health authorities indicate it is safe to do so.

However, Kelowna's Downtown on Call (DOC) and Clean Teams will continue to be available to businesses should their assistance be required and can be reached at 250-470-9058. 

"The health, safety and well-being of our customers, staff and their families are the top priority during this evolving COVID-19 pandemic," said the DKA in a statement on Facebook. 

"Therefore, we are following the directives of the federal and provincial health authorities and plan to continue to do so moving forward."
