Don’t expect to see much of the sun today in Kelowna.
NowMedia meteorologist Wesla English said the cause of the gloom is a system from the west.
“A low that is crossing BC and heading into Alberta today will direct clouds into our region,” she explained.
“Valley areas will only receive a small amount of snow, if any.”
She added: “Mixed precipitation is also possible for the valley as freezing levels will rise slightly above the valley base by the afternoon.
“We will be in between systems on Friday and will likely see sunny breaks return.”
Today’s high is expected to be about 3ºC, while the low will be around -4ºC.
