It has been quite the season for the Kamloops Blazers, and Dylan Garand and Connor Zary are part of the reason why!
The two players learned this morning that they would be competing at the 2020 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Hamilton on January 16th.
Part of the reason these two were chosen was for their stellar play this year. Zary has scored 20 goals to go along with 44 points, putting him in 5th place in the WHL scoring race. He is leading all first-time NHL Draft eligible skaters in goals and points.
Garand, who is in his second season with the club, has a record of 18-8-1-1 on the year. He's also posted a 2.40 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. The 17-year-old leads all WHL goaltenders in minutes played with 1,625.
