    Big White receives first snowfall of the season

    The ski and snowboarding season is approaching as Big White Ski Resort received its first snowfall yesterday.

    The resort made a social media post on Saturday to celebrate the occasion. 

    “It’s happening… the first snow of the season is here!!! Winter vibes are officially on,” reads the post.

    The resort is scheduled to begin spinning its chairlifts and welcome skiers and riders for the 2025/26 season on Nov. 27.

    Those returning to the mountain this season will notice some changes around the resort. 

    Among the changes are the return of Kettle Valley Steakhouse, the opening of the Black Forest and Ridge Rocket ticket offices, upgrades to some of the chairlifts, a new skate sharpening machine at the Happy Valley Skate Shop and much more. 

    And at the end of the season, the slush cup will make its return at the beginning of April.
