    UPDATE: Crash cleared on Hwy 97 near Penticton

    (UPDATE: @ 6:15 pm) – PentictonNow reporter Gord Goble is reporting the traffic is now flowing freely past the accident scene. 

    While one northbound lane does remain closed there are no delays in the area. 

    Any details regarding the earlier accident have yet to be be released. 

    NowMedia will update the story when more information becomes available. 

    (Original Story: @ 5 pm) – Drive BC is reporting that a vehicle incident has closed Highway 97 in both directions just outside of Penticton. 

    The incident has blocked the left lane and created intermittent closures on the southbound lane that are expected to last between 10 and 20 minutes at a time. 

    There's currently no detour available ad no estimated time of opening. 

    Officials are cautioning motorists to watch out for traffic control and will provide an update around 6 pm.
