  • UPDATE: Hwy 1 reopens to single lane after mudslide near Revelstoke

    (UPDATE: May 3 @ 9:35 am) – Drive BC is reporting that Hwy 1 has partially reopened following a mudslide near Revelstoke. 

    The highway is now operating at a single lane with alternating traffic at Eagle River. 

    Travellers are asked to watch for crews and should expect delays in the area. 

    (Original Story: May 3 @ 8:20 am) – Residents looking to travel east should be aware of a closure on the Trans Canada Hwy. 

    According to Drive BC, "mud and tree" have Hwy closed in both directions at Eagle River, just west of Revelstoke. 

    At this point, crews are on scene and an assessment is in progress. 

    There are no detours currently available. The next update is scheduled for 9 am.
