Just another day on the job for these fine police officers in Saanich, B.C.
Three Saanich officers were called into action Friday morning for reports of a pig on the loose.

According to a Tweet, the pound was unavailable to corral the large pig, which left the job in the hands of police.

Officers did manage to get a hold of the beast before it headed for a potentially dangerous situation on the highway.

A pretty trippy scene on the morning of 420 you might say…
However, the rogue pig is just the latest in a week of wacky animals on the loose.
Earlier this week, RCMP responded to reports of a break and enter only to find a beaver scurrying around a house in Nanaimo.

“I legit thought someone was breaking in,” said the homeowner in a Facebook post.
Officers asked the culprit for identification but in one swift tail movement, the beaver took off through the yard.
Not to be outdone, a Prince George resident entered their garage to find a moose licking their vehicle.

“I was inside for about 15 minutes when there was a knock on the door. It was one of our neighbors, Nicole," said Tab Baker.
“She said ‘oh my gosh there’s a moose in your garage.’ So I quickly grabbed my phone and went out.”
