Many Kelowna residents were met with a somewhat foreign smell when they stepped outside this morning.
Saturday morning's fresh, post-rain odor from last night's downpour was a welcomed addition to an extremely hot and dry summer in the valley.
Friday night's rain was the first significant amount of measurable rain the valley has seen in months and more precipitation is in the forecast for Saturday.
Residents should expect showers on Saturday, starting in the morning and ending sometime this afternoon.
