This Saturday, the Royal Beach Eats & Beats Festival in Colwood will feature big beats from bands like Said The Whale and Astrocolor…as well as draws like the beach, a climbing wall, and an artist street market.
But we want to put the spotlight on the eats. Greater Victoria has a superb selection of food trucks, and this festival is bringing in over a dozen of them.

Here’s a sampler plate of what to expect at Eats & Beats:
Mama Rosie’s

This food truck has turned thousands of Victorians on to Filipino cuisine, thanks to Mama Rosie’s authentic recipes like chicken adobo, BBQ skewers, and to-die-for spring rolls.
Greek On The Street

This is real-deal Greek street food like lamb gyros, falafels, and eggplant wraps. But the Greek-style poutine is always a festival favourite.
Deadbeetz

This mobile burger joint is a staple of Island summer events with its saucy twists on local beef and veggie handhelds. You’ll need napkins.
CandyTime

Country Crepes

Well, ooh-la-la. A food cart with class, serving up sweet and savoury crepes that taste like they're flown in from France.
Snap Dawgs

Sometimes you just want a good old dog with fried onions, and forget about the goodnight kiss. Look no further.
L’Authentique Poutine and Burgers

Yes, the burgers are good here. But knowing the owner grew up in the Quebec town where poutine was invented and worked in a cheese factory…try the curds and fries.
Softies Ice Cream
