In a perfect world, we would all buy local, eat fresh and minimize our waste consumption, but for so many people a little thing called life gets in the way.
That’s why Kelowna based young entrepreneur Jasmine Ostopowich decided to make it her job to improve people’s eating habits.
“I have watched how people's eating trends have moved away from the roots of nutrition because everyone is so busy,” said Ostopowich. “They just want to get something quick and easy but unfortunately eating under those conditions often leads to unhealthy meals.”

The solution? Creating Tasties Kitchen.
"We create seasonally inspired meals using locally sourced ingredients while keeping your health, convenience and taste buds in mind," explained Ostopowich.
"Developed for the everyday professional (or anyone who wants a jumpstart on health) we strive to make eating nutritious food as effortless and delicious as possible— no artificial ingredients or surprises here!"
The formula has been working well for the young entrepreneur who quickly discovered a need for a nutritious meal prep service.
A unique aspect of Tasties Kitchen is the method of which the delicious meals are delivered.
"I wanted to use something a bit more unique than a tupperware container and the glass Mason jars have really achieved that," said Ostopowich. "The jars lessen our environmental impact while keeping your meals fresh and tastie until the moment you bite in."
While the method they the meals are delivered is unique, the real treat is the meals packed inside the jars.
"We live in an agriculturally rich part of the world so I do my absolute best to source everything local," explains Ostopowich. "Every meal is gluten-free to begin with and then you can add your desired animal protein or vegetarian. We also have strictly vegan, keto or carnivore based meals."
