It won’t be a fun drive to the coast this weekend.

The Coquihalla and Connector highway both received another dump of snow overnight, which will test drivers over the next two days.

Judging from DriveBC webcams, the snow started falling between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Friday and continued through the morning hours.

As of 7 a.m., both the Coquihalla and Connector summits were covered with a solid layer of snow.

DriveBC posted road condition warnings for both roads, not only for slushy and slippery sections, but for fog patches on the Coquihalla as well.

The snow is expected to stay on the highways through Saturday, but a temperature rise in the region should clear most of the snow on Sunday.
