According to Environment Canada, a Pacific low-pressure system moving into the B.C. interior tonight will create a strong easterly flow of moist air.
Snow is expected to develop this evening and become heavy at times, especially near the Rockies.
Environment Canada is estimating 15 to 20cm of snowfall, with up to 30cm near the Rockies.
Winds may gust up to 40km/h.
Snow is expected to ease by Friday evening.
Environment Canada is suggesting that all unnecessary travel be postponed until conditions clear.
