    Winter Storm Prompts Travel Advisory Along Highway 1

    DriveBC has issued a travel advisory for Highway 1 from Sicamous to Yoho National Park as a winter storm is set to pass through the area.

    A mix of rain and snow is in the forecast for Thursday afternoon and into Friday. Mild temperatures are worrying for crews as an avalanche could be triggered as a result.

    Depending on the strength of the storm, DriveBC says the highway may be closed for avalanche control.

    Updates will be posted to the DriveBC website and conditions change, and motorists are advised to check the site regularly if travelling along this route.
