This remarkable show, based on the true story of a small town’s generosity during one of the world’s darkest days, will be performed at the South Okanagan Events Centre on September 24 and 25, 2024.

In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, the town of Gander, Newfoundland, unexpectedly became a safe haven for 7,000 stranded airline passengers.

Despite initial uncertainty and cultural differences, the townspeople and passengers came together, turning strangers into friends and fear into trust. It's a story of hope, compassion, and the incredible human spirit.

COME FROM AWAY tells their stories of unexpected friendships, community spirit, and the kindness of strangers. It's a musical that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in the power of humanity.

The show will make its Penticton debut at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) for two nights only, on September 24 and 25, 2024. Don't miss your chance to see why audiences around the world have been moved by this heartwarming tale.

It is directed by Tony Award winner and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Christopher Ashley, with musical staging by Olivier Award winner and two-time Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine, and music supervision by Olivier Award winner and Grammy Award nominee Ian Eisendrath.
