(UPDATE: May 6, 2018 @ 1 p.m.) – The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) has completed repairs to stabilize Westside Road in Killiney Beach after a landslide affected the road and downed power lines. The road has reopened completely for traffic.
(UPDATE: May 2, 2018 @ 10:45 a.m.) – A single lane of Westside Road has reopened to traffic.
A 50% load restriction remains in place for commercial vehicles, however.
It was originally closed due to a washout on Tuesday morning that caused a portion of the road to collapse.
(Original story: May 2, 2018 @ 6:25 a.m.) – The woes continue on Westside Road.
Adding to the 14 properties that are current on evacuation order, the road is now closed in both directions around 3 kilometres north of Fintry.

Crews are still on scene assessing the slope instability and repairing the section of washed out road.

In the meantime, there is no detour for the route.
