  • UPDATE: Westside Road in Killiney Beach completely open to traffic

(UPDATE: May 6, 2018 @ 1 p.m.) – The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) has completed repairs to stabilize Westside Road in Killiney Beach after a landslide affected the road and downed power lines.  The road has reopened completely for traffic.

(UPDATE: May 2, 2018 @ 10:45 a.m.) – A single lane of Westside Road has reopened to traffic.

A 50% load restriction remains in place for commercial vehicles, however.

It was originally closed due to a washout on Tuesday morning that caused a portion of the road to collapse.

(Original story: May 2, 2018 @ 6:25 a.m.) – The woes continue on Westside Road.

Adding to the 14 properties that are current on evacuation order, the road is now closed in both directions around 3 kilometres north of Fintry.

In the meantime, there is no detour for the route.
