Despite COVID-19 being alive and well, the airlines are starting to get things back up and running. 

According to the new summer schedule released from WestJet, Kelowna, Kamloops, and Penticton will see a number of new flights on the board.

From now until July 4, travellers can expect to fly from Kamloops to Calgary three times a week, Kelowna to Calgary twice a day, and from Kelowna to Vancouver five times a week. In addition to those flights, residents in Vancouver will have the chance to come to Kelowna five days a week. 

Between July 5 and August 4, there will be six weekly flights from Kamloops to Calgary, one daily flight from Kelowna to Vancouver, three daily flights from Kelowna to Calgary, six weekly flights from Kelowna to Edmonton, and four weekly flights from Penticton to Calgary. The daily flight from Vancouver to Kelowna will also be upped to seven times a week. 

"We continue our commitment to keeping critical economic lifelines open for the 38 communities we serve across Canada," wrote WestJet. "As you are ready to fly again, we’ll be ready."In July, we’re increasing the frequency to all the Canadian cities we currently serve and are adding back 22 previously suspended routes."
