Police Service Dog Halla will be leaving service at 7-years-old.

The German Shepard specialized in tracking people, searching for evidence and explosives detection.
Before being stationed in the West Shore, Halla also served the community of Kamloops.
This isn’t the end for Halla and her owner Cpl. Lewis—the RCMP says the pair will be joining the RCMP National Reintegration Program, where they will help RCMP officers across Canada reintegrate to active duty following a traumatic incident.
The West Shore RCMP Police Dog Unit is made up of one Corporal and two Constables, each with their own police dog.
Halla’s replacement has not yet been named.
